Assignment#4

Hello everyone,
You should have already received the HTML code of your youtube clip from me. Please make sure you post it on your personal blog using "TEACHING PRESENTATION#1" as the topic. There are two parts in your Assignment#4: self evaluation and peer evaluation. You are going to play teacher's role in evaluating yourself and your peer using the criteria sheet I gave you (see below and COURSE DOCUMENT). In your evaulation, you will give specific comments to the person you are assigned to evaluate as if you were the teacher critiqing your student. Superficially saying "good job," "nicely presentation," etc without explaning why you think so is not going to get you any points for this assignment.
Please note that everyone in Musicianship gets full points since in this lesson plan there's no actual singing/playing skill involved. A list of matching names for you to get the peer-evaluation done will be posted on BB announcement soon.

Your first assignment: Essay "My Music History"

Assignment#1-Essay "My Music History"

This is what you need to include in your journal#1:
Briefly tell everyone about yourself and about your musical background. Anything at all that is musically related, you are welcome to mention in this journal. It could be your earliest music memory (mom's or grandma's lullaby to rock you to sleep, your little super star-act that pleased all the adults), your first music class, first experience of playing any instruments, singing solo, participating in a choir, band, orchestra, garageband, professional band, taking college music appreciation classes, and your musical preferences for any kind of musics, e.g., how often do you listen to music? what kind of music you enjoy listening to the most? any particular group you follow? if so, why?

Please type in your responses to these questions and turn it in in class on Friday (August 27). Make sure you save the electronic file as later you will need to post it on your blog when you set it up.
